A matcha bowl (chawan) handmade in Japan with a subtle subtle blue gradient on the rim, Naruto swirl & embossing on the bottom. Measuring 12cm x 8cm, the Chawan has a nice big volume but is still very light - perfect for pure matcha. Accordingly, we are adding a wider matcha whisk from 100 Prong to the set.

30g Japanese Matcha in tea-zremonie quality from Mr. Hasegawa from Shizuoka, ultra-fine ground & with a fine balance of mild-sweet and strong-aromatic. The high quality matcha is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Only the youngest & most delicate tea leaves are selected. The bowl and set are named after the small swirl (Naruto) at the bottom of the bowl. The embossing (seen on the right) bears the signature of the producer. The glaze was artfully left out at the bottom.
Our matcha bowl, matcha broom and matcha spoon are handmade. Therefore, clean them only with warm water & let it dry well. Detergents, vinegar or the dishwasher could damage the accessories.
Note: the clay is minimally permeable to moisture because it was fired less hot than comparable ceramics. As a result, the bowl is particularly light for its size and has a beautiful light clay color.
