In this matcha latte set are included:

A matcha bowl (chawan) with a super practical spout, handmade in the pottery by the forest. The dimensions are approx. 7.5 x 11 cm. With the spout you can make your matcha latte drip-free or prepare and portion matcha for several people. Each bowl is a unique piece handmade in Germany & varies slightly in shape and color.

The choice is yours: 30g of high-quality Japanese matcha tea from Mr. Yoshiharu in Shizuoka, ultra-finely ground and exceptionally aromatic. This makes the matcha ideal for matcha lattes, matcha cookies, and drinking on its own (premium quality—not “cooking matcha” or “culinary grade”). This high-quality matcha is, of course, grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

Or you can choose: 30g of high-quality Japanese houjicha powder from Susumu San in Shizuoka, ultra-finely ground and with a particularly aromatic flavor. This makes the houjicha ideal for houjicha lattes, houjicha cookies, as well as ice cream and yogurt. Unlike conventional Houjicha powder, only whole tea leaves—without stems or broken pieces—are ground, so that the sweetness, aroma, and freshness come through more strongly, and your Houjicha (latte) turns out less astringent.

A handcrafted matcha whisk ( chasen) and matcha spoon (chashaku) made of golden bamboo—genuine only if it has 100 bristles: this will help you create the perfect matcha foam. The high number of bristles makes whisking much easier. Instructions for preparing matcha lattes and matcha tea, along with recipe ideas, are of course included.

Jana Döring is a passionate ceramicist and has been making her creations in the "Töpferei am Wald" - her own small workshop - since 2019. She makes the Chawan exclusively for SHO CHA from red natural clay from Germany, which has a strong iron content. By firing at 1200°C she finally creates a robust & yet light ceramic for daily tea enjoyment. You can learn more about her person & her work here on her website.

All our matcha accessories are handmade. Therefore, clean it only with warm water & let it dry well. Detergents, vinegar or the dishwasher could damage the accessories.
