Clean the matcha bowl with warm water & let it dry well. This bowl can even detergent, vinegar or the dishwasher off, because it is fired at 1,200 degrees. As a result, the pores of the clay are tightly sealed. In addition, the glaze is resistant to alkalis and acids.

Jana Döring is a passionate ceramicist and has been making her creations in the "Töpferei am Wald" - her own small workshop - since 2019. She makes the Chawan exclusively for SHO CHA from red natural clay from Germany, which has a strong iron content. By firing at 1200°C she finally creates a robust & yet light ceramic for daily tea enjoyment. You can learn more about her person & her work here on her website.
