Clean the matcha bowl with warm water & let it dry well. This bowl can even detergent, vinegar or the dishwasher off, because it is fired at 1,200 degrees. As a result, the pores of the clay are tightly sealed. In addition, the glaze is resistant to alkalis and acids.
Gifu Prefecture has been producing ceramics for tea & household for centuries. Each bowl is individually made in this region and is a piece of Japanese handicraft tradition.
