This matcha is slightly milder and sweeter compared to our Matcha No.1(typical of genuine Japanese organic matcha) and has a strong, sweet aroma and a smooth taste. With its mild aroma and green color, this matcha is also of the highest quality. This is only achieved by shading the tea plants for a long time before harvesting, selecting tea leaves exclusively from the first plucking and careful further processing.
The matcha powder is ultra finely ground. This means that the powder dissolves easily in water - ideal for matcha beginners. It is also ideal for making healthy matcha ice cream or milkshakes. Just give it a try!

Mr. Yoshiharu Matsushita has been running his organic tea farm in Kakegawa City in Shizuoka for 40 years. In addition, he has a small cafe there where he prepares and serves his own teas. Learn more about his story in our introduction video.

Mr. Yoshiharu grows all his matcha teas without pesticides and uses his own fertilizer made from composted grasses instead of chemical fertilizers. We have also had the pesticide-free status checked again externally - you can see the pesticide report in the picture gallery above.
For his mild matcha, Mr. Yoshiharu uses tea bushes of the Saemidori cultivar. These tea bushes are less widespread as they are more sensitive than yabukita. However, they are much milder and sweeter in taste. Don't know what to do with them? We explain it to you in our FAQ.

1/2-1 teaspoon per cup or bowl / 70 degrees
Due to its extremely easy solubility, matcha can also be drunk by beginners without hesitation. A chasen (茶筅), a matcha whisk made from bamboo, is normally used. The whisk is used to mix the powder with the water and whisk the matcha until frothy. Alternatively, you can also use a small whisk or milk frother.
Pre-workout drink
We also like to use our Matchas as a pre-workout drink or wake-up drink in the morning before training or office work. To do this, 2 teaspoons are simply placed in the shaker (with strainer) and shaken with warm water. Then simply add cold water or juice and you have a super energy boost.
Storage
The tea comes in a sealed and resealable flavor bag. To remove the Matcha easier and so that it stays fresh even longer, we recommend our practical Matcha tin.
