Matcha bowl NAGARE

Matcha bowl NAGARE
The Matcha bowl (Chawan) NAGARE is handmade in the traditional Shinkougama pottery in Gifu, Japan. The fine color gradient is particularly challenging to produce and could hardly be copied by other potteries so far. Each NAGARE matcha bowl is a unique piece of Japanese craftsmanship.

Handmade unique piece
Each bowl is made by hand in Japan. The bowls are fired for 22 hours and cooled for 24 hours. Although this process takes four times as long as in other potteries, it is the only way to achieve the uniquely fine color gradient.

Fine Japanese ceramics
Clean the matcha bowl only with warm water & let it dry well. Detergents, vinegar or the dishwasher could damage the bowl and negatively affect the taste of the Matcha.
