High-quality Houjicha powder from the fall and winter harvest (秋冬番茶) for Houjicha lattes: with this Houjicha powder, you can whip up a soothing Houjicha latte with pleasant roasted aromas and notes of cocoa and hazelnut. Unlike conventional Houjicha powder, only whole tea leaves—without stems or broken pieces—are ground, allowing the sweetness, aroma, and freshness to shine through more vividly and resulting in a Houjicha (latte) that is less astringent. Just like our Matcha teas, this Houjicha powder is a premium tea made from high-quality tea leaves sourced from a single tea field.

This houjicha is perfect for making your own houjicha lattes at home: ground from roasted tea leaves without any stems. Freshly harvested from Susumu San’s tea gardens in Shizuoka.

Directly from the tea farm

We source our houjicha directly from Susumu-san in Shizuoka. Thanks to our trusting relationship with Susumu-san, we can ensure the highest quality, pesticide-free production, and sustainability.

Natural Fertilization

Susumu San fertilizes the tea fields for houjicha only lightly with natural compost. This keeps the aroma of the tea leaves light and fresh, allowing the perfect flavor to develop for your mild houjicha latte.
