FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY! TRY THE FIRST SPRING TEA—AVAILABLE IN VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES—NOW!

Is the ➡️SHINCHA HAYAI not exclusive enough for you? Then the SHINCHA MIDORI is just the thing for you: this green tea comes from one of the rarest cultivars, “Tsuyu Midori,” and is grown by Mr. Eiichi on the island of Tanegashima in the very south of Japan. We are the only shop in the world offering this tea from this cultivar. This Shincha is therefore your one-time chance to try this unique green tea. A very delicate aroma and a perfect balance of freshness, mildness, and floral-vegetal notes, as well as sweetness and a full umami, make this ultra-limited Shincha green tea something truly special. Its particularly soft mildness sets this Shincha apart. Of course, Eiichi San completely avoids pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Due to its high quality, this green tea can be steeped 5–7 times! We will only have an extremely limited quantity in stock, as Mr. Eiichi produces only a limited amount each year and the SHINCHA MIDORI is available exclusively from us.

Message from the tea farmer

My goal is not merely to grow Japan’s very first green tea. I strive to produce an exquisite, aromatic tea from Tanegashima—the “home of the first spring tea.” Surrounded by the sea on all sides and blessed with clear air and a mild climate, the first tea is grown naturally, which brings out its fresh aroma particularly well and results in a full-bodied, aromatic tea with a naturally sweet note.

Tea cultivation with total dedication

Passion for green tea: Mr. Eiichi has been researching organic tea cultivation & tea cultivars for years.

Tea fields nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the forests

Directly on the Pacific coast: Mr. Eiichi's tea fields on the southern Japanese island of Tanegashima are cultivated without pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

Highest green tea quality also means that many infusions are possible from the same tea leaves: from full-bodied & sweet to fresh & fruity to gentle & fresh, the taste of this premium shincha changes from infusion to infusion. Our recommendation for infusion times and temperatures can be found below.
