NEW HARVEST NOW AVAILABLE! 💚🍵 Awarded 2 stars at the Great Taste Awards in London 🌟🌟

This highly aromatic and full-bodied Kabusecha green tea from the first harvest of 2026 comes from Mr. Iwakura in Shimada (Shizuoka). The new harvest is particularly notable for its enhanced sweetness and perfect balance. Thanks to its extended shading with nets and its exceptionally natural cultivation methods, it is highly aromatic, unique, and full-bodied in flavor. Natural fertilization with tea grass (Chagusaba) is a traditional method from Shizuoka Prefecture and ensures a broad, complex aroma. Despite its intensely aromatic flavor, this premium green tea has no astringency and is not bitter at all. Like all of our green teas, it is, of course, completely pesticide-free.

Compared to Gyokuro No. 1, it’s significantly fruitier and has a very well-balanced umami. 🍋 Mild citrus aroma with a subtle hint of green tea: The gently dried peels of the Japanese yuzu fruit give the tea a pleasantly mild citrus flavor that harmonizes beautifully with the full-bodied, slightly sweet green tea.

🌿 Premium Kukicha Tea Blend: A fine selection of flavorful tea stems (~80%) and delicate tea needles (~20%), obtained during the sorting of high-quality Asamushi Sencha.

👨‍🌾 Exclusive direct import: Sustainably sourced directly from tea farmer Susumu San in Kawane (Shizuoka, Japan)—for guaranteed freshness and fair trade practices.

🌱 All-natural & pesticide-free: The crops are grown entirely without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers.

Naturally grown yuzu citrus meets kukicha green tea made from high-quality asamushi sencha. The yuzu citrus fruits, with their complex aromas, are dried, and the peel is then combined with a fine selection of tea stems and leaves. This creates a unique green tea with delicately zesty fruit aromas and full-bodied green tea notes. By selecting only lightly steamed Sencha green tea without tea dust, it is now fruitier and even better balanced.

Producer: Susumu San

🌟 New 2026 harvest has arrived 💚 Awarded at the 2025 Great Taste Awards in London.

A smooth, full-bodied, aromatic, and slightly sweet premium green tea with the fruitiness typical of Kyushu and the umami typical of Shizuoka. Akane-san, a young tea farmer, runs the tea farm together with her family right at the foot of the active volcano Sakurajima.
