Cold Brew Sencha 🧊🌿 Green Tea Cold Brew

When the temperatures rise in summer and we long for something cooling, a cold drink is just the thing - hot tea somehow does not come to mind. The solution: cold brew green tea and enjoy it ice cold. The best thing about it: we need almost no accessories and it hardly takes longer than the normal brewing. Let us explain...

What do I need for the Cold Brew method?

2 glasses, cups or jugs

(ice) cold water

1 strainer or disposable tea filter or similar.

3-4 teaspoons good green tea

How is the Cold Brew Sencha prepared?

Super simple if you ask us. In the tutorial video it is explained quickly. Basically, the green tea is poured into one glass with cold water and after infusion simply poured into the other glass through a sieve or filter - done.

How long should you steep the green tea? From 5 minutes to several hours, everything is allowed. We usually trick it a little: we let the Sencha steep for 10 minutes and then stir it vigorously once. This speeds up the infusion process, the tea becomes less astringent and you can then pour it off and drink it immediately.

Which tea is best for cold brew?

Our Kabusecha is just perfect for a refreshing fruity cold brew 🙌

In principle, you can of course try it with any kind of green tea. Only it should be of good quality. Especially with this preparation, you quickly notice how much aroma and flavor a green tea really has. We can especially recommend our Kabusecha green tea with its intense aroma and the Sencha N°1 green tea with its fruity note for cold brew preparation. And for those who are particularly keen to experiment: our Genmaicha green tea with roasted rice offers a very special taste experience as a cold brew 🙌😺

But no matter which tea you take for it - we hope you have fun trying it out!
