Handmade match whisk of the highest quality in Japan. Made by Sabun Kubo, 24th generation master at the traditional company Chikumeido. Chikumeido is located in Takayama, the birthplace of the Japanese tea ceremony. Only Japanese white bamboo is used and each individual chasen is made by hand by Master Sabun and his scholars. The material is white bamboo that has been aged for over 2 years. Long tradition

Sabun Kubo is the 24th generation of Chasen masters and each Chasen bamboo whisk is handmade under his care in Takayama.

Before first use

To ensure that the match whisk can unfold optimally, you should place it upside down in hot water before using it for the first time, press it down lightly and turn it halfway around after 5 minutes. Then press it down again, wait 5 minutes and finally shake it out briefly in the hot water.
