+ Taste
This loose Shincha green tea has a fine balance of sweet fruity & intense aromatic notes. It smells very fruity after infusion and has a pale green color. Compared to our "normal" Sencha No.1, it is slightly fresher, even more balanced, has more umami and is fruitier in the aftertaste.
+ Producer
This Shincha comes from the small town of Kobayashi in Miyazaki Prefecture of Kyushu Island. Mr. Takayuki runs the farm without the use of pesticides in 3rd generation. For his work, he has won one of the proven awards of the Youth Farmer's Conference this year.
+ Cultivation
The Shincha is of course grown completely pesticide-free and without chemical fertilizers. We have also had this checked externally - you can see the pesticide report in the picture gallery above. So you can be sure that our tea is 100% free of harmful substances.
Mr. Takayuki uses tea bushes of the cultivar Yabukita for his fruity Sencha. You can not do anything with it? We explain it in our FAQ.
+ Preparation & Storage
3-4 teaspoons per 300-400ml / 70 degrees / 60 seconds
The loose tea is infused in a pot with a strainer. Alternatively, you can use fillable disposable tea bags. It is a sweet, aromatic and smooth green tea and tastes both beginners and green tea connoisseurs. Our tutorial video below shows you how to make it easily.
Alternative: 3-4 teaspoons per 300-400ml / 60 degrees / 120 seconds.
In this variant, the infusion is somewhat spicier and softer - the fruity-fresh taste, on the other hand, is somewhat less noticeable.
More infusions
It can, like any good Shincha, of course, be infused several times. So you have not only longer something from the tea but it also dissolves more and more healthy substances from the tea. Here you can try different temperatures and infusion times to find out what you like best.
Cold infusion
Our Senchas are particularly suitable for cold brewing: simply pour double the amount of Sencha with cold water and steep for 5-10 minutes. Ready is the delicious refreshment. Our tutorial video below shows you this simple and mega refreshing preparation method.
Storage
The Sencha comes in a sealed and resealable flavor bag. The removal is thus super easy and the tea stays fresh for a long time.
