Kyusu OBI

Kyusu OBI
Original Japanese Kyusu teapot with a beautiful color gradient & a blue color belt (Obi). Handmade from dark Tokoname clay for brewing all types of green tea. The dark natural shade alternates with shiny partial glazing and the weight is perfectly balanced. The opening is very wide (8 cm) for easy removal of the brewed green tea leaves. The name of the teapot 帯 OBI is derived from the blue color rings that alternate with unglazed ceramic. There is also a tea strainer inside the teapot, which encloses the entire pot like a belt.
Tokoname has been known worldwide for over 1000 years for its natural clay pottery. Throughout the city you can admire sights made of clay.
When cleaning our original Japanese teapots, you should only use water and no cleaning agents. The clay inside the kyusu could otherwise absorb unwanted substances or damage the teapot.
