Very soft, mildly sweet & full-bodied top Sencha. Gyokuro-like umami. Grown, harvested & processed by Susumu San on his newly founded tea farm in Kawane, Shizuoka in the heart of Japan. Due to the slightly longer steaming process, the tea leaf is finer and the infusion is particularly aromatic without any astringency or strong flavor peaks. Very soothing and pleasant to drink.

Hand-picked tea leaves

Susumu San checks every single basket of freshly harvested tea leaves for aroma and quality. The result is an intensely fragrant, highly aromatic green tea that has become his trademark in Japan.

Soft taste

The long steaming of the tea leaves ensures a balanced, smooth taste and a full-bodied aroma. The tea can of course be infused several times.

A passion for tea growing

Susumu San quit his job as a manager at a large tea company in 2023 to pursue his passion for growing & selecting green tea. He bought an abandoned tea farm in Kawane and now uses his knowledge & years of experience to produce his own tea. He does not use any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

Harvesting by hand is very laborious, but produces an exquisite green tea of the highest quality.
