Limited Edition Sencha GOKO

27,50 €

Sweet, very full-bodied and smooth with a pleasant umami flavor and light notes of vanilla and sweet pastries. Virtually no astringency or bitter notes, making it one of the highest-quality green teas in our lineup. Strictly limited! Produced by Okada-san in the small village of Wazuka in the Uji tea-growing region. The Goko tea plant variety is grown exclusively in Uji, Kyoto, and is used almost exclusively for matcha tea; as a sencha, it is therefore one of the rarest green teas in Japan. Smallest quantities of the highest quality

Mr. Okada specializes in producing green teas from rare cultivars. The flavor of Goko green tea is unique even in Japan, and we are proud to offer a limited quantity of his Sencha green tea.

Unparalleled flavor

A milky-smooth mouthfeel with plenty of sweetness, pronounced umami, and no bitterness whatsoever. Light notes of vanilla. The dry tea leaves give off a delicate scent of pine needles and sea breeze. Absolutely unique in scent, taste, and aroma.

Harvesting by hand is very laborious, but produces an exquisite green tea of the highest quality.
